The annual New England Study Abroad Re-entry
Conference provides an array of information to college and
university students who have recently returned from a study
abroad experience. Developed by a committee of volunteers in
the study abroad field, the conference will offer sessions in
adjusting to re-entry, becoming an advocate for study abroad,
marketing your international experience, exploring careers in
international fields, and finding opportunities to go abroad
again. 
Location: The conference will take place on
November 12, 2011 at Suffolk University
Law School in Boston, Massachusetts. Registration begins at 8:45
am in the Great Hall in the Suffolk Law School.

any student who has studied abroad, in any foreign country for
any length of time.

Share. Learn.
The morning
will be a time to share your experiences, from abroad and now
that you are back at home and on campus. You'll have
opportunities for reflection, telling stories, and learn from
your peers. We will discuss strategies for working through the
adjustment back to the US, and we'll also explore ways that
your overseas experiences set you apart in the crowd!
Taking it to the next level. In the
afternoon, we'll look more at ways and opportunities for you
to build upon your study abroad experience after college. This
will include panel discussion on the following

KEYNOTE SPEAKER: ALEXIS
GRANT
We're excited to announce the 2011
conference plenary speaker, Alexis Grant! After years of
dreaming of traveling, Alexis packed her bags and traveled
around Africa. She's now turning her experiences in a travel
memoir. Alexis also offers advice on job searching - a perfect

Study Abroad Photo
Contest
RULES - Entrants must
be full-time undergraduate students, who have completed a
summer, winter or semester/year abroad. - Photos must be
original work; other than the changing of contrast and
cropping, digitally altered photos will not be accepted. The
photo must have been taken by the entrant during their study
abroad program or on travel during the program. - Black
& white and colored photos are acceptable. - The
semi-finalists will be determined by a panel of Reentry
Conference staff on subject matter, quality, creativity, and
originality. Semifinalists' pictures will be on display at the
Regional Reentry Conference on Saturday, November 12th at
Suffolk University. The reentry conference participants will
vote to decide the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners on the
Re-Entry Conference Facebook page. Winners will be determined
by the amount of "likes" per photo. - Unless special
arrangements have been made, all photos and captions submitted
will become the property of the Reentry Conference. Entry of
photos will be deemed consent for their use, at the discretion
of the Reentry Conference in advertisements, publications,
and/or website for the purpose of promoting the
Reentry Conference.
HOW TO ENTER - Up to
three (3) photos may be submitted TOTAL. - Entries must be
submitted no later than Friday,
November 4th.
Submission details: Photos must be
submitted in digital format (NOT in a word doc), in their
highest quality possible, to
nereentryconference@gmail.com.
Include the following information
in a word doc with each picture that you submit.
1) Name 2) Study Abroad Program
Information a) City and Country b) Semester spent
abroad c) University d) Program Provider (if

Opportunities Fair: Throughout the day you will have the opportunity
to speak with representatives from graduate schools,
non-profits, international business and education at our
International Fair! This is not a job fair, but an opportunity
for you to explore opportunities and make professional
connections.
In addition, you will have the
opportunity to have your resume critiqued by local career and
international education professionals. If you would like to
take advantage of this opportunity, please select "yes" in
your on-line registration and bring 5 copies of your resume
with you.
